Dr. Daniel Berger on the History & Philosophy Behind Psychological Disorders
Gain an understanding of the mental health system's worldview and discern how to help someone who has been given a psychological label.
At what objective point does the experience become “disordered”?
What about insanity and madness?
How can you help a hurting person who has been given a psychological label?
Dr. Daniel Berger has written and published thousands of pages on the history and philosophy of what is now known as “mental health” (formerly called “mental hygiene”).
This course was taught to a live conference audience over several days. It is intended as an introduction to get you to think and then proceed with your own study and research on the secular belief system and philosophy behind the study of the human soul.
Starting with the history of the entire mental health system in Nazi Germany, where elimination was the goal, Dr. Berger asks, “Is history repeating itself?” This history is not hidden; what Dr. Berger teaches and uncovers about the entire worldwide mental health system can be researched by anyone with internet access.
Building on the foundation he teaches in the first five sessions on mental illness and worldview, Dr. Berger then covers psychotropic drugs, physical illness and biblical counseling, ADHD, PTS and a Biblical Understanding of Trauma.
The course closes with two distinct Q&A sessions you won’t want to miss, where Dr. Berger expounds informally upon follow up questions asked by the audience.
